    Al-Wabel praises Petrofac role in training of Saudi youth

    Petrofac Saudi Arabia is sponsoring young Saudi graduates enrolled in a diploma training program at the Asharqia Chamber Training Centre

     



    Under the supervision of the Asharqia Chamber, the  Executive Secretary Diploma program is preparing a national professional cadre for working in the field of executive secretary with applied skills and knowledge required for practicing the profession.
     
    60 trainees were successfully able to pass the required hours of the early stages in the program since its launch last April.
     
    Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel explained that this program being held at the Chamber Training Center in  Dammam aims to create a national and professional cadres in the field of Executive Secretary on a scientific basis, noting that it will be launched in the first week of next April this year and will last for five months.

    Adding that the topics of course where chosen very carefully to ensure that candidates being updated with the latest methods of practicing the Executive Secretary in addition to the basic skills in this field.

    He also noted that chamber has provided the program provided with the same cost price as a contribution to its part in supporting this activity, a trend adopted by the Chamber always with this type of projects.

    Petrofac is seeking to adopt this kind of activity, being aware of the need in guiding of Saudi young people towards progress and prosperity as well as contributing to the provision of these trained personnel to fill the shortage in the local market.
     
    Imad Abdul-Aziz Shanan, Petrofac Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Saudi Operations and Mohammed Bashar Al-Ghrawi the home office manager, recently visited the Chamber’s Training Center to review the trainees’ academic achievements. There for they spoke about Petrofac’s role in social responsibilities and training young Saudi men and women.
    They also talked about out Petrofac’s own training programmeswhich include supervisory skills courses for its Saudi engineers, technicians and administrators.
     
    Reflecting on the association with the centre, Shanan went on say: “Petrofac Saudi Arabia is fully committed to and supports the employment of Saudi nationals. In this respect, our local operation provides a varied and progressive competency development programme which aligns well with the objectives of the Asharqia Chamber Training Centre.”
